I'll start blogging about finance and life advices in English!

I was initially writing this blog in Japanese, but I seem to have a lot more audiences outside of Japan.

I decided to write my future posts in English!!

So, in this post I want to introduce myself and organize what I want to explore in this blog.

About me

I was born in Japan and grew up in the Bay Area, San Francisco, California.

My family background is in banking, editing, and trading, and that's basically what I've been doing as well.

My father led me to start investing when I was in highschool.

I worked for a private bank in Singapore after graduating university, and went on to become a writer and translator to pursue a less stressful path with more autonomy.

After Covid, I realized my passion is in food, so I started traveling countries considered to have a rich food culture.

*I also run a food blog here.

I started from Southeast Asia in Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, and Vietnam, and I'm now in Japan where I am from, exploring the different food culture here.

I will travel to Turkey, Morocco, Italy, France, Portugal, Mexico, and Peru.

My Aim

This blog will be mainly about finance and investment. I learned that investing has a lot to do with controlling your emotions and following discipline, so I will share what I learned about mindfulness but mainly, I will explore better ways to fund the living I want to live.

I love connecting with food enthusiasts. We dream about good food, and money is always a problem we need to solve to discover the wide food culture of the world.

I love looking at food and finding out new flavors. That's what makes me happiest, so what I do every day is related to this.

In order to do that I found out I don't need a fancy job. I now work in resort jobs that provide accommodation and basic food, so I can cut expenses I don't really mind about and have more funds to use on experiences related to food.

I also did a lot of study in investing, and learned how to manage my expenses and putting surpluses into a good ETF. This allows me to enjoy now to the fullest while I prepare to fund my life.

I learned having enough money to get around and do what makes me happy, it doesn't involve a whole lot of money. You just have to work, have a surplus every month, and invest a portion on a good investment.

You also slowly but surely have to grow your income to be able to invest more in the long run.

I'd like to share what I know here, and hopefully it helps people and I get to connect with new people pursuing their goals:)
