The best thing I learned from meditation

When I lived in Malaysia, the condo I lived in had a mini library that residents could freely access. In my spare time I would go there to read and I remember there was a book about Buddhism. I had no idea taking ten minutes to read a chapter whenever I had spare time would have a huge impact years later. What sounded somewhat "odd" and kept me reading was that the book stressed that Buddhism is an education on how to find the root cause of sufferings and shares relevant approaches to overcome them. The book said it isn't completely accurate to take Buddhism as a religion. Back during the middle of the pandemic, I was lost.  I remember sleeping 20 hours, eating something, then going back to sleep for another 20. It was like that for awhile then I could really tell my health had gone broke. Sticking to just 1 good habit leads to more good habits At the time, I read that one small habit and sticking to it is what I needed to do, but I doubted that just one habit won't change anything. But there really wasn't anything I felt doing so I played a HIIT Youtube on and started to exercise once a day. For a few days, it was one exercise, eat, then go back to sleep. But sticking to that somehow led to another small action, then another, and another. There were days when I would want to continue the exercise that automatically plays after the video ends. I remember I was so out of shape I needed to skip some of the moves but it got better. Then it led me to add more habits over the past two years or so. Sleeping early and rising early Walking 10,000 steps/d
